Taylor Atchison, hailing from Minnesota, clinched his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet in Event #69: $1,500 Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better. The victory, which took place at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, awarded him $159,276, substantially increasing his career earnings. Atchison emerged victorious from a starting field of 647 entries, which generated a total prize pool of $858,892.

Atchison’s win came after over ten hours of play on Day 3. This achievement follows a fifteenth-place finish in Event #42: $10,000 Big O just weeks prior, which was, at the time, his best career score. Atchison credits home games for his proficiency in Stud Hi-Lo, mentioning, "Just part of a mix. Actually I usually play super stud with my friends.” He primarily plays mixed games, having transitioned from No-Limit Hold'em.

The final table, particularly the four-handed play, featured extensive chip lead changes and prolonged action. Atchison himself experienced significant swings, at one point holding 70% of the chips before falling to the shortest stack. He noted the competitive spirit and camaraderie, stating, "Overall it was just a crazy tournament with how long it lasted. I got to give my hats off to the guys I played with, they were super fun."
