Breno Drumond and Henrique Lessa, both members of the Brazilian Samba Poker Team, have won Event #66: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP). Their victory marks a significant achievement, particularly as they were coached by last year's champions, Kelvin Kerber and Peter Patricio.

Drumond and Lessa navigated a field of 1,375 entries, generating a total prize pool of $1,210,000. Following a hard-fought final table, the Brazilian duo secured the first-place prize of $184,769. They defeated Ruka Yamauchi and Shotaro Murase in heads-up play, who took home $123,119 for their runner-up finish.

This win marks the culmination of seven years of hard work and shared poker aspirations for Drumond and Lessa. Their journey included overcoming a crucial moment during the final table when Drumond, playing with just three big blinds, avoided elimination due to an opponent's folded raise. The team adopted a strategic approach to player rotations, with Lessa noting that Drumond's strong performance led him to play through to heads-up.

This is the third Brazilian bracelet of the 2026 WSOP, following wins by Yuri Dzivielevski in the $100,000 High Roller and Joao Simao in the $50,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha event.
