Daniel Negreanu Has Spent $1M on 2026 WSOP Buy-ins; How Much Has He Profited?

Daniel Negreanu, a Poker Hall of Famer and seven-time bracelet winner, has publicly disclosed his financial performance at the 2026 World Series of Poker. According to his latest vlog, Negreanu has spent more than $1 million on tournament buy-ins. His total cashes amount to $464,521, resulting in a current net loss of $571,729 for the series.

Negreanu's cashes this summer include several notable finishes. He placed eighth in a $600 No Limit Hold'em/Pot Limit Omaha event for $24,347 and secured seventh place in the $25,000 Pot Limit Omaha/NL Hold'em High Roller, earning $152,954. Additionally, he achieved an 11th-place finish in the $50,000 Pot Limit Omaha High Roller, adding $107,940 to his cashes. His most recent small cash was $3,167 in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better event.

However, Negreanu did not cash in some of the higher buy-in tournaments, including the $250,000 Super High Roller and the $100,000 High Roller. He also exited the $50,000 Poker Players Championship before reaching the money. Negreanu has adjusted his schedule to manage his mental state and optimize his performance, occasionally opting out of late registrations to recharge.

Despite the current deficit, Negreanu has a history of significant comebacks at the WSOP. In 2021, he recovered from a large downswing with two substantial cashes in $50,000 PLO and $50,000 NLH events. In 2024, he won the $50,000 Poker Players Championship for $1.1 million but still ended the summer with a net loss.

Beyond his individual performance, Negreanu's team is leading the 25K Fantasy league with 871 points, largely attributed to Josh Arieh's strong showing, including a runner-up finish in the PPC. This could potentially provide another six-figure score for Negreanu's team. Off the felt, Negreanu is preparing for fatherhood, as his wife Amanda is expecting their child.
