2026 WSOP Day 34: Can Anyone Stop The Grinder?

Michael Mizrachi, the reigning WSOP Main Event champion, has achieved a commanding chip lead heading into the final day of Event #70: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship. With 37 players starting Day 3, Mizrachi now holds 80% of the chips in play among the three remaining contenders. He was responsible for four of the last five eliminations, including Jesse Lonis, after an significant pot. Mizrachi has secured at least $627,832, and play will resume today, June 29, at 3:15 p.m. local time.

Japan's Naoya Kihara is making a strong bid for his third bracelet of the series in Event #71: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet. Kihara finished Day 2 with a significant chip lead, almost double that of his closest competitor, Matt Vengrin. The field was reduced from 99 to 13 players, all guaranteed at least $9,456. The remaining players will compete for the bracelet and the top prize of $182,591 when play resumes at 1 p.m. local time.

In Event #74: $1,500 8-Game Mixed, Daniel Negreanu is currently fourth in chips among the 21 players advancing to Day 3. The field for this event started with 818 entries. Negreanu is pursuing his seventh WSOP bracelet and the $184,420 first-place prize. Other notable players still in contention include Scott Lake, Alex Livingston, and Adam Friedman. Play for this event also resumes today.

Several other events are also underway. The $1,000 Ladies Championship concluded with Skye Chen claiming her first bracelet. The Mystery Millions event will have 24 players returning for its final day, and the Mini Main Event has already attracted 2,599 entries on Day 1a.
