As the 2026 World Series of Poker approaches its final quarter, with the $10,000 Main Event on the horizon, the performance of WPT Global ambassadors in Las Vegas has been reviewed. While many ambassadors are primarily online players and streamers, a select few have been active in live events, with more expected to join for the Main Event.
Phil Ivey, an 11-time WSOP bracelet winner, stands out as the most successful WPT Global ambassador at the 2026 WSOP. His first cash came in Event #38, the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship, where he finished ninth for $30,292. Ivey then reached the final table of the $250,000 No-Limit Hold'em Super High Roller, placing eighth for $553,270.
Ivey's most recent substantial cash was in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship. He finished third, earning $600,698, during a 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw round. Ivey is expected to compete in upcoming events such as the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship, the $100,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha, and the $10,000 8-Game Mixed Championship, before the Main Event.
Pete Chen is the only other WPT Global ambassador to record cashes at the 2026 WSOP. Chen, a bracelet winner from an online event during the COVID-19 pandemic, secured payouts in the $550 Mini Mystery Millions and finished 91st out of 2,103 entrants in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Super Turbo Bounty.
With the $10,000 WSOP Main Event World Championship commencing on July 2, additional WPT Global ambassadors are anticipated to travel to Las Vegas to join Ivey and Chen in the competition.
